Paul E. Kozloski
President & CEO

Paul is an accomplished chief operating and sales executive with over 23 years experience in general management, business development, administration and strategic planning, with a primary focus in the medical/surgical, blood and tissue fields within the healthcare industry.

Prior to joining Biomedical Synergies, Inc., Mr. Kozloski was President and Chief Operating Officer of a nationwide, not-for-profit tissue bank. In the first six months, he developed and implemented a new business plan resulting in an organizational expansion from one regional donor procurement site to eight nationally. In addition, this plan more than doubled tissue donation within the organization.

During his tenure with the American Red Cross Transplantation Services (ARCTS), Mr. Kozloski was the Director of Donor Development and Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) Relations. His responsibilities included developing and implementing strategies, systems and programs within hospitals, OPOs and Medical Examiner/Coroner communities which would maximize donors and donor referrals. His efforts in this capacity were exceptionally successful in increasing donors for ARCTS, reversing a two year negative trend.

While working for the American Red Cross Biomedical Services, a $1.6 billion provider of life-sustaining blood, plasma and tissue products, Mr. Kozloski held various management positions. Initially, he served as the Administrative Director of the St. Paul National Testing Laboratory. In this capacity, he developed new financial procedures and processes, along with work flow analyses, and he implemented operational efficiencies which contributed to a significant decrease in the overall operating expenses.

During his tenure as Senior Director of Donor Recruitment, he developed strategies, systems and programs in support of the national donor recruitment sales force. He was ultimately responsible for the recruitment of over 6.3 million units of blood, which provided the raw materials that generate over $1 billion in annual sales.

As Division Vice President for Owens and Minor, Inc., a supply-chain solutions company and the nation’s leading distributor of name brand medical and surgical supplies, Mr. Kozloski had responsibilities ranging from Profit/Loss to all general management functions. During his tenure, he designed and implemented Just In Time (J.I.T.) programs and Total Quality Management (TQM) systems. These strategic initiatives resulted in operational and administrative efficiencies, as well as significant cost reductions for healthcare systems.
